Undergraduate Performance Study
The Department of Theatre and Film Studies offers the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree.
All undergraduate Theatre and Film Studies majors at the University of Georgia must complete the following core of courses: DRAM 2040, 2050, 3200, 3210, 3290, 3300, 3500, 5053, and seven three-hour courses in drama numbered 3000 or above. DRAM 2040, 2050, 3300, and 3500 should be completed by the sophomore year in order to avoid difficulties in scheduling advanced drama courses. Theatre history courses are not to be taken before the junior year.
A list of Theatre and Film Studies courses available to undergraduate majors is available in the department's handbook
Upper Level Acting Class Requirements
Majors who wish to continue to take acting classes past the second level must pass a juried audition, attended by the performance faculty. To be eligible to audition, students must have satisfactory completed, or be currently enrolled in, the second-level acting class, DRAM 5010, and one other core course from the above list.
