This rarely performed masterpiece of Western theatre, first performed soon after Shakespeare's death, is a graphic tale of love, desire, deceit, betrayal and revenge. Featuring one of the most compelling woman characters in all of English drama, The Changeling is thrilling, horrifying, and steeped in startlingly modern psychological insight.

by Federico Garcia Lorca. A Studio production. Spanish playwright Garcia Lorca is one of the most poetic and passionate dramatists of the twentieth century. This beautiful, all-woman play, to be performed in UGA's North Chapel, offers a penetrating look at the political and sexual repression of women in rural Spain on the eve of fascism.

Made famous by the film starring Glenn Close, John Malkovich, and Michelle Pfeiffer, this play, set in eighteenth-century France, examines the mask of artifice covering the battle between the sexes. It exposes the use of sex for power—and the dangerous point when sex unexpectedly journeys past lust to love.

Edward Albee’s award-winning look at psychological warfare and the illusions that poison relationships is just as searing and relevant today as when it shocked audiences in 1962. Featuring two members of UGA's acting faculty and two members of the Graduate Acting Ensemble, and directed by Del Hamilton, Artistic Director of 7 Stages in Atlanta, this exciting production will debut in UGA’s own Cellar Theatre before traveling to the Atlanta professional stage.

This staged reading at the Georgia Museum of Art, featuring performances by three members of UGA's acting faculty, is part of the UGA Arts Festival, a multidisciplinary celebration of the arts to inaugurate the new Lamar Dodd School of Art on the East Campus. This brilliant drama has won numerous awards, been translated into over 30 languages, and been performed throughout the world. The three-man play investigates the nature, purpose and meaning of modern art—and friendship.
