Image: Undergraduate Theatre/Film Scholarship Form Deadline: Wednesday, April 14, 2021 The Department of Theatre and Film Studies presents several scholarship awards to deserving students at the conclusion of each academic year. These are self-nominating awards. Interested students must fill out this application and ask a faculty member in the department to support and sign off on their nomination. Students in all areas of the department are eligible; however, graduating seniors in their final semester are not eligible. Students who have won an award in previous years may submit for those awards not previously won. The awards are: The Chuck Baker Scholarship in Drama 3 awards available Three $1,500 awards honoring sophomore and junior Theatre majors for outstanding achievement in any aspect of theatre practice, including acting, stage managing, directing, set, costume, lighting or sound design, with financial need as a consideration. The Chuck Baker Scholarship in Film Studies 2 awards available Two $1,500 award honoring sophomore or junior Film Studies majors for outstanding achievement with financial need as a consideration. Eddie Lambeth Scholarship in Acting and Screenwriting 1 award available One $750 award honoring aspiring actors, screenwriters, or playwrights with proven professional promise, outstanding character, and above-average academic standing. Martin Holubar Scholarship 1 award available One $1,500 award for an undergraduate student based on their love for theater and for going the extra mile in the department. Exceptional character and dedication to theatrical practice are crucial. What to do next: Please fill out the the Scholarship Form. Forward it to your faculty sponsor, they need to fill out the last page. The sponsoring faculty member should return the completed form to Professor Marotta by Wednesday, April 14, 2021.
