Study Abroad The Department of Theatre and Film Studies has a long history of studies abroad. Since 2000, the Department has sponsored a summer program in London, from 2009-2022 a summer program in Cortona, Italy, and starting in 2024 a summer program in Greece. The Athens and London programs are typically offered in alternating years. The Department also participates in a program in Tanzania administered through the Department of Comparative Literature, and a program in India administered through the Asian Studies Institute. The tradition of studies abroad is a strong one within the Department and there will continue to be opportunities for theatre and film study in other countries.
