Image: Two department undergraduate students, Aayush Umesh and Wyn Thomas, will be presenting their research at the 2023 CURO Symposium. The annual CURO Symposium highlights excellence in undergraduate research at the University of Georgia, by offering an opportunity for students to communicate their own research to our broader community. All undergraduates pursuing faculty-mentored research—regardless of discipline, year, experience, honors/non-honors status, and whether they have been enrolled in CURO coursework (i.e., -R suffix courses)—may apply to present their research at the symposium. The faculty mentor for both Umesh and Thomas is Professor George Contini. Research will be presented on April 4 from 11:10AM-12:25AM in Room B of the Classic Center in downtown Athens, GA. Presentations: Cabaret’s Buddhist Hells and Psychedelics: Comparing Sally Bowles to Jean Ross in an Unconventional Performance (Aayush Umesh) Excerpts from "First Semester: a Musical" (Wyn Thomas) Read More: 2023 CURO Symposium
