PhD Student Sloan Garner Earns Willson Center Graduate Research Award

The Willson Center for the Humanities Graduate Research has awarded Department of Theatre & Film Studies PhD student Sloane Elle Garner a $1,000 research award to support travel to Chengdu, Sichuan, China for her field work. Sloan will be studying dramaturgy of face-changing in Sichuan opera and presenting her work at the UGA 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) competition.
 
Sloan recently served as dramaturg for UGA Theatre's Spring 2024 production of Little Shop of Horrors and will directed the Spring 2025 production of Kimberly Belflower's John Proctor is the Villain
