Callbacks: Experience UGA Players

Image:
Exp_Callback

Callbacks for Experience UGA will take place in the Arena Theatre in the Fine Arts Building on Sunday, August 25 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The callback will be divided into three parts:

  • Music
  • Prepared Sides
  • Improv Games

All actors called back will participate in all three sections.

Music: Blend testing for the Quartet. Please familiarize yourself with “You’re Welcome” from Disney’s Moana.

Sides: Prepare sides attached to this announcement. Please familiarize yourself with them, although memorization is not required.

CALLBACK SIDES

Improv: We will be playing some improv games, since a big part of this will be how an actor can react to the kids! In the event that the 9 to 5 cast list is released before our callbacks, we do not expect anyone cast in 9 to 5 to attend due to 9 to 5’s casting priority.

Information on Experience UGA

Experience UGA is a high-energy comedic and musical performance for Athens-Clarke County third graders who visit us in the Fine Arts Theatre on November 20-21 (9:30 a.m.-11:30a.m.).

Experience UGA is an internationally recognized program that inspires the children of our community to aspire to a college education through field trips each year to UGA to explore different areas of study from pre-k to high school. Our department hosts approximately 1000 third graders who come to learn about film and theatre. They will be entertained by the musical performance of a customized rendition of “Be Our Guest,” learn all the different roles and positions it takes to put on a show in A Play About Plays and get to watch a performance of Aesop’s Greatest Hits! from our very own Children’s Theatre Troupe, directed by theatre major Abby McWethy. A parody of “You’re Welcome” will close out the show, featuring a character who tries to take credit for doing all of the work to make Experience UGA possible.
